Description
Do you remember what your childhood experiences meant to you: the excitement, adventure, wonder, exploration, tenderness, fun, silliness, longing and, above all, hope for the future? And can you still feel the power that shyness, lonliness, fear, jealousy and all the other negative emotions had on your young life? Or have you observed kids as a teacher or a parent and feel you have many stories to tell? In this class, you will discover the stories only YOU can write. What a challenge! What an adventure!
We will apply the essentials of fiction: memories, ideas/imagination, characters, conflict, plot development, viewpoint and setting to your stories.
By the end of the class you will have a Writer's Journal full of story ideas, awesome characters, and fabulous plots to get you started on your writing career.
Each week you'll have an assignment such as setting up a Writer's Journal, finding meaningful memories, developing interesting characters, etc.
