Jandy Nelson

Jandy Nelson is a senior agent with Manus and Associates, Palo Alto, CA, a national firm representing authors from both New York and the San Francisco area.
Jandy has a varied list of nonfiction, including self-help, health, memoirs, and narrative nonfiction, and fiction from literary fiction to multi-cultural fiction to thrillers. She sells a significant portion of her clients’ work into the television and feature film markets. Jandy brings to the agency and to her clients the benefits of an extensive career in theater and film as well as in academia. She has been a film producer on Emmy award-winning work, a dramaturg at several theaters and has taught creative writing at Brown University, where she also did her graduate work.
Jandy is very active in the Bay Area film and theater communities, a member of the leadership council of the Word for Word Performing Arts Council, and a dramaturg for Mettle Theater. An award-winning poet herself, she is considered to be an editorial agent, actively involved in the development as well as the marketing of her clients’ work.
